This image was made while winter hiking the North shore of Madeline Island on Lake Superior. Madeline Island is the only island in the Apostle Island chain open to commercial development and private ownership. The image shows the colorful shore rocks under a few inches of water while the ripples on the surface adds an abstract texture.
