Artist's Description
After a eight inch snow storm on New Years Eve this fire hydrant stood out like a sentinel on watch. Following a drought stricken 2018, Northern New Mexico and the Southwest welcomed this much needed moisture. I find it amusing to find a fire hydrant out in what appears to be the middle of nowhere overlooking the endless landscape of Ojo Caliente, Taos County, New Mexico. In reality, this is my driveway and my off grid earthship sits buried in the snow off to the left and no, the hydrant is not functional. LOL
About Britt Runyon
I am a New Mexico based Adventure Riding/Rafting/SCUBA Outdoor Digital Photographer, always on the qui vive for what Nature and humans provide. Capturing an image in my camera is but the first step in an artistic process. That initial bit of information then can pass through countless permutations before being declared complete. The journey from capture to completion is a lawless territory. If photography is an art, then there are no rules.
