Description
One of the main tourist attractions of Taos New Mexico is the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, located in the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. It is a steel deck arch bridge across the Rio Grande Gorge with the Rio Grande river 650 feet below. In 1966 the American Institute of Steel Construction awarded the bridge "Most Beautiful Steel Bridge" in the "Long Span" category. This image was captured on a cold wintery morning.
Photographers started enhancing their images in the dark room in order to create an image more closely resembling what their minds eye saw. Photography has passed through the enhancement portal into the world of special effects, known as digital art. So somewhere in there exist the balance, where the image is a true representation of the real visual perception of everyone who views it, combined with its obscure or cryptic essence as viewed and reproduced by an artist.
