Cirrus clouds are at high elevations, white, delicate filaments, mostly white patches or narrow bands. Cirrus clouds are always composed of ice crystals and their transparency is dependent on the density of the crystals.
This image was taken of the daytime Arizona sky, then converted to black and white.
