Artist's Description
This image of a Bighorn Ram was captured as I hiked the Rio Grande Gorge of Northern New Mexico. We shared a moment of amazement, or was it amusement, as we gazed into each others eyes. About fifty Bighorn Sheep were released into the gorge area in 2006 and 2007 and within ten years had multiplied to almost 300. Hiking the Rio Grande Gorge almost always provides this sort of encounter.
