Artist's Description
If your brave enough to walk out on the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and look down, this is what you will see. 650 feet below flows the Rio Grande on it's way to the Gulf of Mexico. At 1,759 miles in length it's the fourth longest river in North America. The Gorge Bridge, 2nd highest on the US Highway System, spans the Rio Grande Gorge on the Taos Plataeu on Highway 64 just west of Taos, New Mexico in the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. The bridge has appeared in several films, including Paul, Terminator Salvation, Natural Born Killers, Wild Hogs, Twins and White Sands. It was called the “bridge to nowhere” while it was being built because the funding did not exist to continue the road on the other side.
About Britt Runyon
I am a New Mexico based Adventure Riding/Rafting/SCUBA Outdoor Digital Photographer, always on the qui vive for what Nature and humans provide. Capturing an image in my camera is but the first step in an artistic process. That initial bit of information then can pass through countless permutations before being declared complete. The journey from capture to completion is a lawless territory. If photography is an art, then there are no rules.
