Artist's Description

Living in Northern New Mexico my life is rich with the sights, the sounds and aromas of Native American culture. The Taos Pueblo, or Pueblo de Taos, is an ancient pueblo which is home to the Tiwa speaking pueblo Native Americas. It's about 1,000 years old and located about 75 miles North of New Mexico's capitol city Santa Fe. The community was built on the banks of the Rio Pueblo de Taos, also known as Rio Pueblo and Red Willow Creek, whose headwaters are in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The unique adobe architecture is utterly amazing to say the least. I was there at the first annual Dennis Hopper Day Celebration in 2014.

About Britt Runyon

Britt Runyon

I am a New Mexico based Adventure Riding/Rafting/SCUBA Outdoor Digital Photographer, always on the qui vive for what Nature and humans provide. Capturing an image in my camera is but the first step in an artistic process. That initial bit of information then can pass through countless permutations before being declared complete. The journey from capture to completion is a lawless territory.
