Artist's Description
Since the 1970's foreign investors have considered damming the Rio Marañon of Peru. As many as 20 dams have been proposed, many are in the planning stage and some are in the construction phase, Chadin II is one of the possible dams. This image was taken as I visited the village of Tupen Grande which if the Chadin II dam was built would be drowned by the waters of the reservoir.
